“Calling Comes on a Down Day, Often” ONLINE worship for February 6, 2022

Join in worship and communion with the church family! We often refer to this special time together as concentrated loving. Viewers tune in Saturdays or Sundays to hear the pre-recorded service.

On Sunday, February 6, 2022, Rev. Carl Thomas will be sharing “Calling Comes on a Down Day, Often” about the story of Peter’s calling by the lake and subsequent humbling he experiences that raises the question of callings, who gets them, what they’re all about from Luke 5:1-11. We’ll look at the ordinariness of it all and consider whether a calling has happened to us too (or are callings only for preachers, prophets, and apostles).

We are a faith community deeply rooted in the teachings of Jesus by celebrating God, Life and the Arts; calling and action for justice; engaging persons of all sexual and affectional orientations and gender identities; and welcoming diversity across spiritual, racial, cultural, generational, or cultural lines.
