Midtown Sacramento 21st & J

ONLINE Worship for July 4, 2021

Join in worship and communion with the church family! Viewers tune in Saturdays or Sundays to hear the pre-recorded service online from the comfort of your home or wherever you are!

This week we consider “Open Doors Become Us” from Mark 6:1-13. In this passage you see first Jesus rejected for being too normal (growing up in town and having family, etc.) and him sending his followers out to count on the welcome of strangers. On tis national holiday, we consider that the values articulated by our country are for welcome and inclusion. We often fall FAR below our stated values. But just like church, we have to renew ourselves around our ideals and seek to live them better in our time.

We are a faith community deeply rooted in the teachings of Jesus by celebrating God, Life and the Arts; calling and action for justice; engaging persons of all sexual and affectional orientations; and welcoming diversity across spiritual, racial, cultural, generational, or cultural lines.

In-person style Sunday worship are held at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. without reservation but with mask and distancing protocols each week at 2100 J Street in MidTown Sacramento.
