September Community Meals Update

Autumn is upon us and the heat has begun to dissipate. The mornings are crisp as we set up the tables to serve the Community Breakfast. FUMC is so blessed in this service to our in-need community, we have become a downtown hub for meals, showers, volunteers and a place of comfort for our in-need community members. This year in spite of the ups and downs of COVID we have managed to serve our monthly lunch, 100 sandwiches every Tuesday and our hot breakfast burritos the last two Sundays of the month.

In 2021 this congregation has made over 3,100 sandwiches! We have served over 1,300 hot meals, thanks to our amazing chefs.  We have contributed 1,000 hours of community service through this ministry, by serving, baking, cooking and making sandwiches.  Thank you to our congregation for your prayers, baked goods, donations of foods, fruit, and funds.
