Thank You!

I have enjoyed working for First United Methodist Church for the last year as the Director of Communications so very much! It has been a journey of faith, of stretching to learn new things and rekindling old competencies as well as strengthening my relationship with the many people who are part of our spiritual family. Thank you so very much for this special opportunity. It has been fun and fulfilling for me in so many ways!

However, I am finding the need to be released to move forward into a growing role at the conference level in their Communications department. I have been working weekly on conference Children’s Worship and writing articles for our United Methodist “Instant Connection.” Also, I am doing series entitled, “On the Road” with feature stories and video interviews. Recently I have begun writing thematic based articles covering topics like Women’s History month. Plus, I have been asked to do more coverage of local church news around the conference–to write about each church in the conference by the end of the year. On top of that I have started a series with my puppet, Mort, called “Who Made That?” The job is getting bigger and bigger! I am finding it difficult to juggle the job at our church AND the job for our conference. So, I have decided I can no longer do both. This has been a tough decision! I love both jobs!

First UMC staff and members have been so supportive during this last year! I will miss working with everyone as Director of Communications. Thank you again for the opportunity to serve you all in this way! Blessings on Broc as he steps forward.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

A zillion virtual hugs!
